In the news you see
Fifteen dead here
Two hundred dead there
What is it with wars?
It seems like
We are always involved
All that they are is
Excuses to kill people
Millions lie dead
Half of them you killed
The other half
Were your best friends
Who likes wars?
The only good thing is
Your enemies die
But, in the end
So does everyone
That you love
You can’t even celebrate if you win
You’re too busy
Grieving what you have lost
You end up killing
People that could have
Been your best friends
Fifteen dead here
Two hundred dead there
What is it with wars?
It seems like
We are always involved
All that they are is
Excuses to kill people
Millions lie dead
Half of them you killed
The other half
Were your best friends
Who likes wars?
The only good thing is
Your enemies die
But, in the end
So does everyone
That you love
You can’t even celebrate if you win
You’re too busy
Grieving what you have lost
You end up killing
People that could have
Been your best friends

I definetly agree. There should be no war, I really like how you described it. Your poem really has meaning. Write more poems please!
